Barklee

Barklee is my guide dog. He is a large, and by all accounts good looking Golden Retriever
and naturally, as all first time guide dog owners, I think he practically walks on water!

I got Barklee in late November 2007. I had navigated fairly successfully using a White Cane for about 10 years but nothing could have prepared me for the shock of actually getting around with a dog.

Since then Barklee has accompanied me on almost every training session I have conducted and hundreds of meetings and consultations all over the country.
No surprise, he has generated a considerable fan club of his own.

Recently I had been asked by a good client to return to conduct a Executive Meeting Disability programme.
For some reason I said should I bring Barklee? She just looked at me and said: "absolutely!, in fact dont bother coming if you don't!"
